Joan and Dawn’s new friends

This was a fun and educational experience! I recommend it highly for both adults and children. Kathryn is extremely flexible about tailoring the experience to your time, ability, interests, etc. We were driving some distance to Tetbury and hadn’t had time for lunch, so we picnicked first thing—the food was amazing! Next we spent the afternoon playing with, and learning about, goats. Kathryn is a fountain of information about goats in general, and about her two specifically—what they like to eat, what things they can eat to be healthier, what their personalities are, and so on. Although the experience can involve a walk through town with the goats, we were having some “body mechanics issues” so we opted to stay in the garden. And it was lovely. Kathryn is also an expert at living thoughtfully, organically, and in ways that best serve the land, the animals, and the community, so…the experience just felt good in all sorts of ways!

Had an amazing afternoon with Kathryn (and Joan and Dawn)! She shared some fascinating local history on our walk and is a great chef as well! The goats are very cute.

I booked this experience for my partner for her birthday on the 6th and we did the Pygmy goat walk and picnic. Before the day, Kathryn was very helpful online and was very interested in making a plan with me and making sure it was perfect for the occasion. Unfortunately on the day we were met with the Great British weather, but Kathryn moved us inside and kept the show rolling on. We were treated to the most amazing home-made lasagne and beetroot salad, and for dessert a sticky toffee pudding. Words cannot express how good this food was, and how perfect it was for the cold weather. It was very clear how much of a passion Kathryn has for her cooking, and this came across in the dishes she presented. It was easily some of the best food we have had in a long time, and could quite clearly have been served in a restaurant.
We then had a chat with Kathryn about her business and the goats and how best to meet them so as to create a good first impression. What stuck out to us was how ethically minded Kathryn is, and how the goats are at the centre of everything she does. We then met the goats in their garden kingdom, and took them on a lovely walk through Tetbury. We were guided round by Kathryn and her lovely and polite son, an absolute credit to her. The walk was informative and we came away with lovely photos of us with the goats as well as full to the brim with facts about the goats that we loved finding out.
The day was brilliant and I cannot fault Kathryn and her business at all, she made the visit memorable and authentic and my partner absolutely loved it. We have already started receiving messages from friends and family about where we had the experience, and will be sending them in Kathryn’s direction with pleasure. I cannot rate this experience enough and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a Pygmy Goat experience. Compared to other experiences available, this definitely feels like amazing value for the money spent. Thank you very much for an amazing day!

We had such a memorable day walking goats! Kathryn was also so kind and knowledgeable. We loved exploring Tetbury and learning about the town. The goats were so friendly and personable! Our kids loved it… plus we got to play with a few other animals at the house before and after the walk!

I decided to book this adventure for my friend Charlie and I because it looked like fun and we certainly weren’t disappointed. From the welcome drink and homemade goat biscuits to the beautiful picnic at the end also all homemade we had the most fantastic day. Now we mustn’t forget the stars of the show Joan and Dawn Kathryn’s pygmy goats. We had meet and greet with a wealth of knowledge from Kathryn so we could get to know our companions before setting out on a nice gentle walk into and around Tetbury. Accompanied by Kathryn who also has a great deal of knowledge about the area we certainly turned a few heads. On our return we were left to enjoy our picnic before foraging in Kathryn’s garden for some goodies for Joan and Dawn. If you are thinking of taking the same adventure I can highly recommend and you will be supporting this lovely lady and her two girls. Val on holiday from the Isle of Man 😊
