The ethos at Pyromaniac Chef is for fresh and wild cooking and cookery lessons are no different. Lessons can take place in your garden or somewhere you have permission to light a fire. The price includes food to serve up to six people and cooked by one person or up to four. The Pyromaniac Chef is based in the city of Gloucester and while I’m happy to travel, there may be an additional charge for travel. More people can be catered for, please ask when enquiring.
Keeping it simple sweetheart. We’ll light a fire and cook a rice dish with a seared side. This could be a paella and some sardines or my spicy rice and some jerk chicken. We’ll then make a lovely dessert such as mojito pineapple kebabs. We’ll cover prep, marinades and timings. This course will leave you with the skills to create elegant fire-cooked menus from your favourite recipes.
Taking things up a notch, this course covers baking, and juggling hot and fast cooking against low and slow to produce a complex three course meal with nothing but a fire, some time and dedication. Your three course meal could look something like this; a warm dip served with flat bread, chicken satay with Thai rice and chocolate orange puddings.
It’ll be a long day for those hardcore enough to tackle a show stopper of a main course. So tough that I’ll be bringing a picnic lunch for up to four people to sustain you. The epic menu will look something like this; three cheese starters with bread, Bonfire Steak with baked potatoes and seasonal vegetable dish, Ginger cake.
